A New Zealand marine brokerage has taken on a larger national role after being named the official Azimut Yachts dealer for the country.
The Nautical Group will represent the Italian yacht builder in New Zealand, covering new yacht sales, after-sales support, warranty services and servicing. For local owners, that turns a luxury import relationship into a domestic support question: who can sell, service and stand behind the vessel after delivery.
The appointment follows The Nautical Group's sale of two Azimut Grande 27M yachts earlier this year, one new build from Italy and one pre-owned 2020 model. That gave the brokerage recent experience across both new and secondary-market Azimut ownership.
The founder angle matters because marine sales are built heavily on trust, networks and technical confidence. The Nautical Group was founded by James Dalzell and Jessie Moller, and Ocean Magazine reports Dalzell is founder, managing director and head broker, with more than 15 years' experience in yachting and earlier work aboard Azimut yachts.
For New Zealand's high-end marine sector, the deal is a small but clear signal. International brands still need local operators who can translate global product into local waters, local servicing and local owner relationships.
