All Blacks, Wallabies lock in Anzac Day Test series

New Zealand and Australia have confirmed an Anzac Day Test series, adding a new fixture with obvious commemorative weight to an already crowded trans-Tasman rugby calendar.

Anzac Day fixtures have long been a feature of rugby league across the Tasman, and rugby union's move into the date reflects both the commercial pull of the occasion and the search for meaningful early-season content.

Scheduling remains the sensitive part. Adding Tests early in the year places additional demand on players already managing Super Rugby loads and end-of-year northern tours.

For supporters, the appeal is straightforward: another guaranteed All Blacks–Wallabies contest, in a window that has historically been quiet for international rugby.
