The mother of Kyle Whorrall has visited New Zealand a year after his death, saying grief does not go away, it simply changes shape.
Whorrall, a young scientist, was killed in an attack that shocked the community where he had settled.
His mother travelled from overseas to see the places he lived and worked, and to meet people who knew him here.
She said she wanted his name attached to more than the circumstances of his death.
