The 43-year-old actress, who played Lady Mary Crawley across five seasons and three films, appeared on the Leicester Square red carpet in Prada alongside her husband, film producer Jasper Waller-Bridge. One fashion critic called it an entrance worthy of Lady Mary.
Dockery married Waller-Bridge, brother of writer and actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, in 2023. The child will be the couple's first.
Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, the third and final film in the series, opens in New Zealand cinemas on 11 September.
